I have so many ideas in my mind that my head feels like it's about to explode. I'm here in the music room, listening to some Christmas jazz as I try to collect myself and stay calm before braving the day and hoping that I get to do some of the ideas I have in mind. This feels good. I haven't felt inspired in a while. Haven't had any ideas and went through some artist block. I wish I could stay on this state forever!
I think it has something to do with the weather. I always feel more creative when it's cold. I can never function in warm weather. That's why I've always thought that I should stay in cold, wet places like Seattle or Portland, Oregon. Did you know that there are more artists in cold places than warm places? Look at the city I grew up in, it's the coldest part of the country and it was an artist haven (not sure about that now though), same goes with Seattle, Portland and San Francisco. I can't explain it but I think cold weather is very inspiring to artists. I've always loved San Francisco! The cozy cafes, the fog, everything about it is just so inspiring! I want to go back there so bad! But it's cold here now, so I guess I'm okay with staying.
I had an awesome shoot with my cousin yesterday! It was so weird that for years I have struggled looking for a model to wear what I had made that it made me stop everything that I was making out of frustration. And she was right under my nose this whole time! It felt good to finally see someone actually wearing what I had worked on and now I can't wait to create more dresses and accessories for her to model.
My kids are not bad themselves!
I'm so excited to finally finish my website! I really think it's going to be awesome!
Now, I need to move and do it! See yah facebookers!
